Trefoil Guild

Trefoil members meet up regularly to socialise and enjoy a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors.

Programmes include outdoor activities, listening to talks, learning new skills, theatre visits, service projects, travel and many other activities.

Fun, friendship, opportunities and new challenges are key aspects of our programme which is developed by the members within each individual guild.

Volunteering

As a volunteer you can help girls build their confidence, have adventures and learn new skills through challenge, adventure and fun.

Volunteering with Girlguiding also does amazing things for the volunteer too. Working with young people and other volunteers helps develop valuable transferable skills like leadership, planning, budgeting and time management.

Rangers

By the time girls are old enough for Rangers their programme is all about taking the lead and finding new challenges.

As with Guides, girls who join Rangers create their own campaigns, learn and share new skills. They explore new places on camps and trips and enjoy exciting events like Tartan Gig – Girlguiding Scotland’s very own pop concert – and they can even get involved in organising and publicising these events, becoming stewards or journalists for a while.

Guides

Guides is an excellent opportunity to do something different. Girls create their own campaigns, learn and share new skills. They explore new places like camps, trips and enjoys exciting events like Tartan Gig.

As girls progress through Guides, they'll have a chance to lead small groups and support younger girls and make friends. They can even get involved in our leadership opportunities.

Brownies

Brownies is about trying new things to discover more about themselves, their community and their world.

At meetings, which are usually weekly but may be at other intervals, the girls get creative, develop skills and have adventures. Brownies can go along to camps, holidays, day trips and sleeovers.

They can choose from a number of interest badges to work towards, in their own time, exploring everything from languages to space.

Rainbows

Through playing games, taking part in sports, doing arts and crafts with girls their own age, they develop self-confidence and make new friends.

The Rainbow Programme enables girls to work towards Interest badges; skill builders challenge the girls to try new things like taking part in sleepovers and to find their voice through developing core skills such as expressing an opinion and taking action. Rainbows can even earn their Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards through achieving Theme Awards.
