First Response
First Response has changed. There are 3 sessions which can be delivered both in-person or virtually using an online platform. The training is 6 hours long and can be delivered split into 3 x 2-hour sessions over a weekend or on 3 separate days. Anyone attending a virtual training will need to meet a trainer in-person to complete some practical elements.
This e-learning will cover the following areas:
- Planning and preparation – what you need to know about being a first aider in Girlguiding
- Responding to an accident, incident, injury or emergency
- What happens after an accident, incident, or emergency
It can be completed before or after the full training course, and must be completed in order to be recognised as a first aider in Girlguiding. 1st Response e-learning
- There must be at least one volunteer with a valid 1st Response or accepted external qualification in the unit for the meeting to be run. 1st Response
County are looking to organise sessions and these will be advertised in the newsletter
